ÆTHER / Platform

FOLLOWCAM. Not route following — camera work.

A paid session gets a beacon. The system identifies it, keeps it in frame through motion and occlusion, chooses cinematic angles, and delivers the finished cut — with no operator on site.

The product loop

Identify. Track. Direct. Deliver.

The customer never touches the controls and never picks themselves on a screen. The only identifier is an active beacon tied to the order — which is what makes the loop safe to automate.

01 · IdentifyRecognize the correct paid customer's vehicle or subject by its beacon — unique ID, no biometrics, no face database.
02 · TrackMaintain visual lock through motion, dust and temporary occlusion, with GNSS prediction bridging the gaps.
03 · DirectChoose cinematic angles, framing and transitions relative to the subject's course — rear, side, reveal, orbit.
04 · DeliverAutomatic ingest, AI edit, branding and customer delivery by link or QR minutes after landing.
Mission control

The launch panel, as the operator sees it.

This is a live mock of the ÆTHER operations console: the surveyed corridor on the left, the aircraft's feed and telemetry on the right. Press launch and watch a session run its full automatic cycle.

AWAITING LAUNCH COMMAND —

Interface mock running real session logic — states, corridor and safeguards mirror the production console. The safety loop (geofence, weather, telemetry quality, battery reserve, return-to-home) runs independently of the AI director.

Automatic cycle

From dock to relaunch without a human.

The requirement is not "follow me" — it is an industrial cycle: purchase, beacon binding, dock launch, coordinate following, automatic filming, landing, charging, relaunch, delivery. Each state has its own guards.

READYDock online, beacon active, session paid and bound.
PRECHECKWeather, wind, link quality, geofence and battery verified before the lid opens.
TAKEOFFAutomatic launch to safe altitude above the mapped terrain.
INTERCEPTFlight to the predicted beacon position, not the last known one.
FILMFollow the course, hold the frame, switch profiles as the route allows.
RTHReturn on battery threshold, timer, or the subject leaving the zone.
CHARGELand, offload footage, recharge — ~32 minutes from 20% to 90%.
RELAUNCHIf the paid session is still active, the next sortie is planned automatically.
Shot profile library

The director is a library, not a joystick.

Every venue scenario is assembled from pre-validated camera profiles. A new use case is a configuration — route, safety, angles, edit template — not a new project.

Rear followBehind and above; the stable workhorse for vehicles, riders and runners.
Side trackParallel to the motion inside a dedicated lateral corridor.
Front revealThe drone takes a point ahead and reveals the subject's approach.
High revealClimb that opens the route, the landscape or the venue.
Static checkpointFixed filming point for events and a continuous stream of customers.
Wide orbitSlow wide arc around a stopped subject, free-zone only.
Top followHigh plan for training analysis, technique and group composition.
Finish momentPre-computed shot of the finish, the result, the brand zone.
Safety engine

Every failure already has an answer.

The safety loop runs independently of the AI director. When something degrades, the aircraft does not improvise — it executes the rule written for exactly that event.

Beacon lost < 3 sContinue on prediction with limited speed, widen the frame.
Beacon lost 3–10 sStop closing in, hold safe altitude, wait for reacquisition.
Beacon lost > 10 sEnd filming, execute return-to-home.
Subject exits geofenceNever cross the boundary — return home or hold at a safe point.
Battery below reserveFinish the current frame profile immediately and return with margin.
Weather / landing windNo new launch; an active aircraft returns on the safe scenario.
Obstacle conflictBraking, avoidance and RTH win over keeping the shot. Always.
Server or link failure mid-missionThe aircraft never depends on remote compute for stabilization or safe mission termination.
The beacon

One tag. One hero.

Identification is coordinate-based, not visual. The client's beacon streams position, course and speed; the server computes a safe drone position and a camera target from it. No biometrics, no face database, no risk of switching to a look-alike vehicle.

A consumer tracker cannot do this job — the beacon is a controlled device with a guaranteed coordinate stream, predictable latency and direct telemetry.
